Back from the Dawn Service. Attendance is increasing. Several young females collapsed during the forty odd minutes. Not one of the old fellas looked distressed however.

No mention of the Navy, even though submarines AE1 and AE2 had already been lost and Sydney had sunk the Emden before the landings in Gallipoli had taken place.

Of late these type of services honor the main concerns of the organizers, not necessarily all who participated. They still do honor to those who served. For, remember, if just you think of the sacrifice of those that served in a certain service during the presentation, they are honored.

Eileen reminded me that our friend Kathy Rady, originally from Adelaide, used to make ANZAC biscuits on this day when the kids were little.
