Any ideas how they are used? Screen the carrier? Intelligence gathering? Hunt for other subs? Or all of the above? http://thediplomat.com/2017/05/2nd-us-navy-supercarrier-deploys-in-the-pacific/

Or could we just read about it in our free press, or Jame's? That way no body dies.

We do not have anybody who is currently active or recently discharged here. The closest one retired some 15 years ago. All you will get are the comments of what was done decades ago.

I would think the protection of the carrier groups would be their primary objective, but their other clandestine applications are myriad and shrouded in secrecy as they should be. The fat slob with the bad haircut has painted himself into a corner that is rapidly shrinking and reducing any rational options he could take. My thoughts and prayers are with those ships, boats and their crews out there, trusting they will find the right solutions to a highly volatile situation. Pedro

What saddens me most is over 60 million people who call the nation I love home, watched an imbecile millionaire preach nonsense and happily boarded his ship, destined to take away rights and freedoms of others. BTW, Putin ain't that fat or hairy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rW9R6jgE7SQ Edited by GaryKC 2017-05-17 2:33 PM

No 5 o'clock Whitehouse news on what platoon X is doing in Iraq or Afghanistan that we used to get.
