I had a bubble of fluid behind my right retina last November. Got shots directly into the eyeball in December and early February. The bubble started dissipating but we kept a close look at it. The bubble returned a couple weeks ago and I had a third shot on Aug 8. It will take one more shot, probably two more to clear it up. Hopefully the ophthalmologist agrees to attack it more aggressively than last time. Actually, I'm looking forward to the next shot, due on Sep 12. Good luck on your Cadillac - uh, I mean Cataract.

I'm gonna guess 1,821. Edited by GaryKC 2017-08-15 9:30 AM

COMSUBBBS Posts: 2974 Location: Liverpool, England | Subject: RE: Eye Surgery On my last eye test for glasses two weeks ago, they informed me that a cataract was forming in my left eye. My immediate reaction was to ask what I need to be doing about it. He reassured me that it was too small to bother with at this stage but would require constant monitoring and at the appropriate time, (presuming I last that long), the necessary surgery will be done. I'm sure the guy knows what he is talking about, but I have booked an appointment with an eye specialist at St Paul's Eye Hospital in Liverpool for late September, just in case. Screw this getting old routine, but better safe than sorry every time. Pedro

Already I no longer had two tone vision; clear and sepia tone. Everything is a crisp clear. Though I will always need glasses, both eyes are now the same and I need to see my eye Dr to get new glasses made up. I was told to wait two months to let everything "settle". I'm so happy to have had this done.
