Whisky is the single largest export of Scotland. Every little village I visited while there had a distillery, plus huge old stone warehouses to store the barrels. If a brew is 12, 25, or older it takes a lot of space. I saw one barrel of Clynelish that was original from that distillery that was valued at over 10,000lb, even though over 2/3 of it is now "angel share". I got to admit that having a "wee dram" every night along with Scottish friends gives you a whole different perspective on life!! Steamboat sends | ||
