We are pretty happy here in Houston....Big parade downtown, schools were let out, etc. Proud of all three teams.....

I would rather have seen the 13-12, 10 inning loss, than a 1-0 pitcher's duel win. Now the longest dry spell is (I believe) the Cleveland Indians - last Series win was 1948.

Houston being in the NL is hard for me to get use to, next thing Milwaukee will be in the NL.

This is as wrong as it gets in baseball. For some reason, Bud Selig and the Major League Baseball Players' Association wanted to put 15 teams in each league.Apr 4, 2013

Why they changed from the NL to the AL is a mystery to me. See, my fingers won't let me type it. On a separate note I use to think Joe Buck was a pretty good baseball announcer - not anymore based on his call of the Series. I still wish he'd actually call the game every once in a while. I still have no idea what he's talking about when he says the batters see only a dot when the slideris right - I think that he means the seams form a dot I can't figure that one out.

One interesting stat that I heard from one of the announcers during the YANKEES-ASTROS series was that the team that was 1st to enter the WS, in this case the Dodgers, have LOST the WS 11 or 13 times in the past 17 years. So, I was not surprised that HOU prevailed. It was fun to watch but not sure if it was more exciting that 1975 CIN - BOS.
