Master and Commander Posts: 1576 Location: Wollongong, NSW	Subject: RE: Saving Submariners I can remember plotting the route from Sydney Airport to Garden Island in 1979/80 for DSRV transport. Certain roads had to be kept clear for large vehicle loads. Not sure what the status is now however. All of our boats had had their escape compartment hatches modified to accommodate the DSRV. Some Boats were also modified to act as mother ships for DSRV. Quite a buoyancy calculation for the Jim.
