The Golden Age of Woodies
My dad had a 1947 Ford woodie. Leather seats too.

I'm not going to touch that line with a 10 foot pole.

Sid,

I find myself going down the same path of all our yesterdays quite frequently of late. Whether it be old cars, motor cycles, guitars, old flames or whatever, I seriously wonder why I persist on this nostalgia kick. I can no longer drive a car or ride a bike because of a narcolepsy condition. I can't play the guitar or ukulele properly anymore due to severe arthritis in my fingers. Sometimes I feel I would be better typing with my bloody elbows and that's a fact. Forget about those old or new flames. To be honest I can only identify with Willie Nelson when he said he has outlived his John Thomas. To rectify that situation I would likely need half-a-bed-to-let and a bucket of Viagra. Apart from that I am still firing on sixteen diesel cylinders; thanks to meds and those lovely care nurses. Seriously mate, I do enjoy reading your posts and it's good to see you back on the BBS.

Yours Aye

Pedro

As a post script to the above. This morning I was sitting in my dentists waiting room opposite an attractive blonde young lady wearing a Chanel suit with a very short mini skirt. I couldn't believe it when she loudly said to me, "Excuse me, are you looking at my legs?" This local beauty was so far up herself I couldn't resist answering, "No madam, I am above all that." It obviously went way over her dumb head because she didn't respond. I may be past it but I am still observant lol.

Pedro, you surely haven't lost your submarine thought process.
Hang in there, Shipmate. Many of us are in the same boat.

I got that joke on the first read. Do you have to be a sailor to get it that quickly?
