TRUMAN, John, 73, died peacefully, with his wife and children by his side, on March 23, 2018 in Surprise, Arizona. John was born on June 1 1944 in Seattle, Washington to Jack and Catherine Truman. He was a 1962 graduate of O'Dea High School. He married Mary on August 24, 1968. He served eight years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. Following his time in the Navy, John owned and operated a Maintenance company for eight years. He began working for General Dynamics, Electric Boat in 1980, as a Logistics Analyst, retiring in 2010. John was first and foremost a family man. Family and friends remember him as a kind, selfless person always the first to volunteer his time and energy. He was an active and dedicated member of the Groton chapter of the U.S. SUBVETS and a lifetime member of the Holland Club. John is survived by his wife, Mary Cronin Truman, his son Christopher John Truman (Maureen Ward Truman) grandson, Brendan, and granddaughter, Colleen, of Vernon, CT; and his son Joseph John Truman (Corina Card Truman), of Norwich, CT. John is also survived by his three sisters, Patricia Boyd, of Lynnwood, WA; Mary O'Brien, of Mukilteo, WA; and Diane Hayes, of Renton, WA. A service will be scheduled at a later date. LEWIS, Tony Allen, Jr., 27, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Richard Oran, Sr., uncle Roger Oran, cousin Steve Queenan, and fur babies Sunny and Granby. He had been a Yeoman Second Class Petty Officer (Submariner) in the US Navy until he was medically retired with honors in September 2017. Tony's interests included snowboarding, swimming, running, traveling, shopping, friends and enjoying life. Survivors include his husband Scott Demharter; mother Rosalind Mikkelsen; stepfather Louis Mikkelsen; father Tony A. Lewis, Sr.; stepmother Cheryl Lewis; sister Maria Brophy; brother Michael McKenna; and his fur babies Dobie and Oliver. The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Friday, March 30, 2018 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Denbigh Chapel. A celebration of life service will be conducted there at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 31 with military honors. A reception at the funeral home will follow. WOLFE, LtCdr Frank, passed away in his home in the Netherlands last Sunday. He was born in Bellingen, NSW and served as a submariner in the RAN for many years. He was with his loved ones. Published in The Sydney Morning Herald on Mar. 29, 2018
