VIERING, Paul Arnold, ETCS (SS), USN, Ret., 70, of Ladson, SC, husband of Jennie Blank Viering, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018. The family will receive friends Friday evening, July 20, 2018 at Parks Funeral Home from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Paul's name may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 1027 Physicians Drive, Suite 210 Charleston, SC 29414 or Friends of the Hunley, 1250 Supply St, North Charleston, SC 29405. Paul was born on Thursday November 20, 1947, a son of the late Klein Viering and Margaret Hagenmaier Viering. Paul was a member of USSVI and a Hunley Volunteer. In addition to his wife, Jennie Viering of Ladson, SC, Paul leaves behind his sister, Louise Plymire of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. MILLER, William E., Jr., 80, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Born on May 4, 1938, he was the first of two sons of the late Major General William E. Miller and Sarah (Gillan) Miller. Raised in Camp Hill, he graduated from Camp Hill High School. He attended Yale University, where he completed the ROTC program and entered the U.S. Navy upon graduation. A proud member of the Naval Submarine Force for four years, he served on the USS Argonaut (SS-475). Following his military service, he completed his law degree at the Dickinson School of Law. After 30 years of practice at Keefer Wood Allen & Rahal, he left to form Miller & Associates in Camp Hill, from which he retired. In addition to his law practice, he enjoyed a number of other pursuits, including founding Pennsylvania State Bank, serving on the Boards of Hospice of Central PA and the Harrisburg Academy, and regularly attending gatherings of the Navy League and the Cumberland and Dauphin County Bar Associations. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Camp Hill. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" (Trace) Miller, three children, and five grandchildren: Alicia S. Miller and her husband Jonathan P. Tate, and their daughters Ellie and Meg Tate; Alexandra A. Miller and her husband Simon T. Putt, and their daughters Micah and Lena Putt and Scarlett Werntges; and William E. Miller III. He was preceded in death by his brother Thomas G. Miller. He is survived by his wife, Edith C. Miller; and their two children, Meredith and Chadwick Miller, along with their spouses and children. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday July 24, 2018 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market St., Camp Hill, with Rev. J. Stewart Hardy officiating. A visitation with the family will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. RILEY Denis Roland, 95, "Crossed the Bar" on 9th July 2018, He was much loved and will be very sadly missed by his wife, Dilys, all his family and everyone who knew him.
