Used them for road works, incredible pulling power, even in the 1950s. Mallard was a major builder; top speed of about 20 mph. | ||

I even got to help run it for a thrashing demonstration as a friend, of my Aunt's, family owned it. I understand they had to quit because they were afraid the boiler was too weak to stand the pressure. | ||
