Master and Commander Posts: 1269 Location: Hopewell Junction NY | Subject: RE: Where was Peto (SS 265) scrapped? Commercial Metals Co. Dallas, TX $38,525 was DELIVERED for scrapping in Dec 1960. She had been serving as the NRT for the 8th Naval District (New Orleans). Further discovery is that she relieived USS Porpoise in HOUSTON as NRT sometimes around 1957. From there, ?????? She and Pogy SS 266 were the only 2 Manitowoc boats that were decommissioned for the barge trip down the Mississippi River. Rest of the entry is LD/LCH 15 jun 41 30 Apr 42 Comm ..........
