KIELAR, Bill S., 93, formerly of New Castle, died the evening of July 2, 2023 at the Inn in Poland. Bill was born January 16, 1930 in New Castle. He was the son of the late Stanley and Amelia (Kukulinski) Kielar. Bill was married to the late Louise M. (Klabon) Kielar for 70 years. She preceded him in death on January 11, 2022. Bill was Polish National Catholic faith and attended Holy Trinity. Mr. Kielar was a graduate of Shenango High School. Following graduation, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War as a submariner. After serving his country, Mr. Kielar worked for Bell Telephone of PA as an installer until his retirement. Bill was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. Bill is survived by his sons Edward (Gladys) Kielar, Witehouse OH, William (Elaine) Kielar, Edinburg, and Stanley (Janis) Kielar, Whitehouse OH; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his son Ronald J. Kielar. Calling hours will held on Thursday July 6, 2023 from 4-7 PM and Friday July 7, 2023 from 10-10:30 AM. New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform full military honors for Mr. Kielar immediately following the visitation. A Funeral Service will take place at 11 AM. Monsignor John Rencewicz of Holy Trinity Polish National Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
