One of the commenters indicated this "incident" was in Blind Man's Bluff, can someone refresh my dwindling memory? Maybe towed array in Soviet screw? Sorry about the size, but I can't delete it. USS Peterson (DD-969), with an escort which includes an unidentified Soviet Intelligence Gathering Ship and a Victor 111 attack submarine with its towed array sonar clearly visible in the foreground. The submarine got a cable wrapped around the screw and propeller shaft rendering them unable to move. The Peterson stayed with them for 3 days until the "fishing trawler" arrived and took them in tow. | ||
