The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

ORMEROD .. .. .. Marvin Louis Ormerod, Sr. (97), went home to our Heavenly Father on the evening of December 30, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Marvin lived a long and happy life with friends and family. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Ahrens Trade School. He was a proud WW II Veteran having served in the Navy in the submarine “Silent Service”. He was a career electronics technician with the Federal Aviation Agency, and held the honor of being commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. Marvin was a devoted husband to his late wife, Carolyn, and devoted father to his two sons, Marvin Jr. and Stephen. He was a strong-willed person who survived the Great Depression and is one of the last of the “Greatest Generation”. He loved us with everything he had.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Ann (Roberts) Ormerod; his mother, Marie (Schneider) Ormerod; his father, Frank Earl Ormerod Sr.; and his brother, Frank Earl Ormerod Jr.
Marvin Sr. is survived by his sisters, Marie Louis Witt (James, deceased) and Carol Parrish (Donald, deceased); his sons, Marvin Jr. (Diane, deceased) and Stephen Ormerod (Joyce); grandchildren, Cristel Domizio (Jason), Caitie Winn (Jimmy), Melanie Ormerod, Sara Gee (Chris), Laura Brandt (Ryan), Emily Cross (Chris); and great-grandchildren, Cassie Weddle (Brandon), Brady Gee, Ellie Domizio, Evelyn Brandt, Aliya Brandt; and great-great grandchild Lettie Weddle.
