Master and Commander Posts: 1431 | Subject: The New CPR Cardio Pulmonary Resusitation has been revise to using chest compressions only as recommended by the American Heart Association. 100 chest compression per minute, done properly, are as effective as interrupting the chest compressions to do mouth to mouth breathing. It should be done when someone collapses suddenly and is not recommended in cases of drowning, carbon monoxide poisoning and drug overdoses. | ||

Master and Commander Posts: 1431 | Subject: RE: The New CPR In drowning victims the current recommendations are to perform the Hemlich manuever. Experience has show that the majority of the time doing the Hemlich Manuever is all that is necessary. | ||
