COMSUBBBS Posts: 2561 Location: Rapid City, SD | Subject: Submarine related (Just for John Bay) A couple questions: 1. I'm writing about a chief torpedo man. How would I write his name: John Smith, CTM; John Smith, TMC; or Chief John Smith, TM? 2. What the heck is a BDU uniform? Picture, if possible. Gotta go & see if I can find the channel that the Canyon Lake All Stars are playing on. Cora Edited by Corabelle 2008-08-15 12:37 PM

That is the work uniform you are used to seeing Army and Marine Corps dressed in. The Navy eqivlant for the past century has been dungarees, but is now being changed to BDU's. Steamboat sends (oops, I'm John Fulton, not John Bay, Oh wellmaybe he can provide a pic, but there has been references to the new uniforms posted lately).
