The reason that many NATO countries won't do anything but whine about Russia invading Georgia is because many of them get their oil from Russia. Russia always was and always will be a world villian. |

The only real options we have against Russia, or China for that matter, is to let the birds fly. Then it will probably be over for all of us. |

Both Russia and China are very busy building their navies. Why and what they will do in the future is not really discussed.
The media wants to talk about politician's affairs, how celebs crash and burn, or Gore's effort to save the world; serious talk about the military future of the world is not on the table.
And yes, we can no longer depend on our allies to help out -- remind me again, who cleaned up the mess in the Balkans? |
