They also have an Avenger aircraft that was dug out of Lack Michigan that is going to be rebuilt to display status. No PT boats in Viet Nam; they were Swift Boats; similar but different configurations. There were two kinds in use back then; the ones that went up the rivers in the delta area and the ones that I rode (one trip only) that were 50' aluminum with armament forward and aft. They resembled PT boats but were different in what they were capable of doing. | ||
