Subject: Why did they callthem Mullberries?

During the invasion of Normandy, floating docks called Mulberries ( Suggested by Churchill) were brought accross the English Channel. Why did they name them after a bush. Inquiring minds want to know.....again!

One night after his 3rd. long burning stogy and finishing a bottle of brandy, he tried to pronounce the words military boats and it came out as mulberries....ergo the name mulberries. That's the gospel truth...
