Saw this recipe floating around and it sounds good. Great for the fall football fan at the game and for folks gathering for the "Bib Game" in front of the T.V.

ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHH!!!

Tradition Please! You gotta boil your brats in beer first, preferably in Leinenkugel's or some other cheap Wisconsin beer. Then you grill them slowly. Additionally you gotta use Sheboygan brats (Johnsonville, Sheboygan Brat Co. et al.) Good mustard and a hard roll will complete this manna, although at our traditional brat parties we did allow some grilled onions for the non-purists. I think someone made red cabbage to go with them a couple times also.

This reminds me of the time I flew from San Diego to Milwaukee for my maiden Aunt's wedding. My parents and my other aunt and uncle met me at the airport, and took me to a little roadhouse not too far from Mitchell Field.

The daily lunch special was a bratwurst burger, grilled in beer and sliced onions, served with sauerkraut, steak fries, and a mug of Andecker beer. Just what I needed to keep me warm on a cold January afternoon.
