Has a boat ever gone out with a full load of nothing but exercise fish and seen how long it takes to fire them all off. Kind of like fanning the hammer on a pistol. How long to empty the room?

It took us all day to fire, retrieve and make ready one Mk 14-3A! I can't imagine doing an aproach, firing solution and firing at 24 targets.... even if you fired 2 or 3 at each one, that would still be nearly impossible unless you were in the middle of a convoy that had no sonar. It would be fun though!! Steamboat (TM2SS) sends

I have vague recollections of embarking a full load of fish and heading out to fire them for trials. Two years later I was to do MK48 trials in Hawaii onboard HMAS OTWAY and I never played with the MK 8 again.
