At random: In 1921, a United States submarine, the R-14, having run out of fuel at sea while looking for the missing tug USS Conestoga, rigged sails from blankets and hammocks sewn together. Bunk frames were used for yardarms and booms. The torpedo loading king post for a fore mast, the torpedo loading boom for a mizzen mast and the telescoping radio mast, for the main mast. The R-14 sailed 100 miles in five days to the port of Hilo, T.H. at a speed of two knots. It has been reported in March 2016 that the Conestoga has been located 3 miles off Southeast Farallon Island, probably sinking with-in a day of leaving port. All hands lost.

Subject: Cora, did the DVD arrive?

...hopefully it has arrived by now?  Usually takes about 8 days for mail to arrive in the US from Perth.

If it has, I hope it all worked and you enjoyed the video of Fred's Tribute to Elmer and the photos I added.

I can always do another one if it hasn't arrived within another week if you want me to.

Best wishes

While she and I were chatting on the phone last week she did say it arrived that day. She didn't say she had watched it yet though.

Yes! I love it. I thought that I had either posted on here or e-mailed you. I'm sure that I did. I said something about trying to make one of the still pics act like a video before I found the actual video. I did look at it.

I called Karen after I received it, and left a message telling her that I had it. This must have been on Saturday, August 28th. I also asked what they were doing the next day (Sunday) thinking that we could get together and view it. She has never responded, so I'm thinking that they must be on vacation someplace.

Maybe it's me, but I responded to a post that Dex made; then when I was checking that thread the next day, my post wasn't there. I feel that I'm in the Inner Sanctum. O-o-o-e-e-e! Or else, Don didn't like what I said???

Anyway, thank you so much kind sir. I'm holding you in my thoughts until I hear that all's well with the test you have scheduled. Good luck with that. And, thank you, Doc!!!

Well I am very glad you received it, and, it worked!

I added about 40? photos of us guys from the trip we made.

Many thanks for your thoughts wrt operation, I am not concerned about it, believing it is just a routine operation, search and destroy mission if you like. ( if there is anything to destroy of course )

Best...
