Subject: Obit Messenger results for 06/25/07

WILCOX, Jr., Howard Judson, 82, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at his home in Rock Hill, S.C. He was born January 1, 1925, to Howard Judson and Ruby Huffman Wilcox in Philippi, W.Va. A graduate of West Virginia University in chemical engineering, he retired from E.I. DuPont with 30 years of continuous service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Colleen Jacquet Wilcox, who was of Morgantown, W.Va. He was a veteran of World War II, attached to the submarine service in the Pacific. He was active in the Masons, having served as a past Worthy Grand Master, and was a member of Shenandoah Golf Club and Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was affiliated with genealogy and Audubon societies. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey Leon and Susan Harmon Wilcox, Tega Cay, S.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Wilcox and Harold Burns of Baton Rouge; and granddaughters, Aleia and Jessica Burns. A memorial service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at Woodlawn Baptist Church, 5805 Jones Creek Road, Baton Rouge, LA 70817.
