PRESSLER, Norman Wesley, 75, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was a native of El Paso, TX and a retired employee of Entergy. He was a US Navy Submarine Veteran. Norman adored his entire family. He enjoyed playing his guitar, hunting, fishing, wood working, and spending time with friends and family. There will be a visitation at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary, LA on Friday, March 17, 2017 from 9 am until funeral services at 11:30 am. Burial will be at Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Annette Lund Pressler; three daughters, Kristie Phillips and her husband Chris of Cave Springs, AR; Bonnie Pressler and Andrea Babin of Port Allen, LA; Lisa Spano and husband Ralph of Brandon, FL; two sons, Erik Pressler and wife Brittany of Zachary, LA; and Norman Pressler II; and four grandchildren: Kavan Phillips, Cambrie Phillips, Caden Pressler, and Brennan Pressler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Emely Pressler, his sister Linda Pressler Whitesides and his brother, Donald W. Pressler. GIAFES, Nicholas, 52, of Drexel Hill, PA., died March 10, 2017 at Vitas Hospice at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital. Raised in Drexel Hill, he was a graduate of Upper Darby High School, class of 1982. Nick served in the US Navy as a submariner on the USS Topeka and the USS Hunley during the Gulf War. He was employed as an operator by Exelon Nuclear at Limerick Generating Station for the past 15 years. Nick enjoyed fine cigars, golfing and all Philadelphia sports teams. He was a proud Eagles season ticket holder. He will be best remembered as a devoted husband and father, time spent with family valued above all else. Nick was the son of the late James and Argyro (Pipinos) Giafes. Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Joan (nee Clark), daughters, Melissa, Nicole and Rebecca, stepsons, Sean and Daniel Gregory, grandchildren, Layla, Nora and Nicholas, brother, Angelo (Dorothy) Giafes and Uncle and Aunt, Angelo and Bertha Pipinos. Service: A Memorial Service will be 11AM Saturday, March 18, 2017, Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington Visitation: 10AM Saturday, March 18, 2017 Interment: private, Contributions in his memory to the National Brain Tumor Society would be preferred.
