FITZGIBBONS Barry M., 48, passed away April 15, 2017. A native of Fall River, MA, he was a retired Senior Chief with US Navy, serving in the submarine service. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Council #367. Mr. Fitzgibbons is survived by his parents Barry and Mary Ellen Fitzgibbons; brothers Sean and Scott Fitzgibbons; sisters Sheila Fitzgibbons and Lizbeth Serpa; his fiancé Deonna Gardea; and children Michael, Lillianne, and Natalie Gardea, and Mariah Huffman. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Wednesday, April 19, at 12:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the church from 11 until service time. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements and online condolences may be offered to the family at hdoliver.com. Published in The Virginian Pilot on Apr. 18, 2017
