You are sure better than I on that. I am still confused because I thought both had the square window.
Certainly won't argue about it being a B-24. What prompted your decision?

That's my Dad (upper) in the photo and I couldn't remember which one it was but found a reference to his plane elsewhere.  I will by flying on one this weekend - can't wait!!!

Would that be the Confederate Air Force. Or has political correctness changed that name? They used to hold flights out of Albany airport about once a year.

Of Course!! It is now the Commemorative Air Force now. I used to be a Colonel in the CAF but when dues got up to $160/year, I gave it up.

The B-24 and B-17; plus the P-51 come to Westchester Airport every year or so.

The grand-kids really enjoyed crawling around inside (no flight time). They are a tight fit.

My uncle flew as co-pilot on either 17s or 24s bombing Italy and Romania.

Great shot Don. Did you get a ride and take this?
The only thing I recognize anymore is the Coliseum and the Space Needle. Nice view looking North.
I live way-y-y-y-y- up there on the horizon just about above the Space Needle.

I know it is a fake, but was Ric within the five mile range of that Ma- Duce? You know you can't trust those MM1 SS / DV Nuke types. When I was last on one, the guns were real dewats, but I was told they were due to be replaced by resin replicas for the weight.

Yes, that is my hand on the gun.  Shortly after take-off you are free to go anywhere on the plane freely except the ball turret!  I went into the tailgunner's space as that's where my Dad flew in WWII.  Here's another of me Googling how to load the gun

Ms Lumpy Bumps dad was a waist gunner on a B-17. Had two shot out from under him. Made 40 missions and ended up with the Distinguished Flying Cross and 5 Air Medals and a Presidential Citation.

Great pictures Don. Space on those bombers was tight.
