At random: A church in Kyoto, Japan calls its congregation to worship with a bell from a submarine. The bell, from the submarine USS RAY was purchased for the church, and was transported to Yokosuka, Japan by another submarine, the USS RONQUIL. |

The grand-kids really enjoyed crawling around inside (no flight time). They are a tight fit. My uncle flew as co-pilot on either 17s or 24s bombing Italy and Romania. The only thing I recognize anymore is the Coliseum and the Space Needle. Nice view looking North. I live way-y-y-y-y- up there on the horizon just about above the Space Needle.

You know you can't trust those MM1 SS / DV Nuke types. When I was last on one, the guns were real dewats, but I was told they were due to be replaced by resin replicas for the weight.

Shortly after take-off you are free to go anywhere on the plane freely except the ball turret! I went into the tailgunner's space as that's where my Dad flew in WWII. Here's another of me Googling how to load the gun (B24GooglingGunLoad.jpg) Attachments ---------------- B24GooglingGunLoad.jpg (83KB - 582 downloads)
