WILLIAMSON, Phillip L. 'Willie', 94, of Paulsboro, NJ died Wednesday July 5, 2017. Born in Langhorne, PA; he was the fifth child of six born into and Irish American family. Soon after the sixth child was born, his Mother died. His father sent the children to live and grow up with relatives and friends. After turning eighteen, Mr. Williamson felt the lure of the sea and he enlisted in the U.S. Navy in August of 1940. As World War II unfolded he volunteered for submarine duty and reported to his first boat, the USS Drum SS228 in November of 1942. He then became a submarine sailor for life. On leave Mr. Williamson met the love of his life, Doris. They were married on August 24, 1943. After twenty four years of military service, he retired and settled in Paulsboro to start a new career. Mr. Williamson started as a maintenance man in 1964 with the Paulsboro School System; retiring in 1984 as the Maintenance Supervisor. In his retirement he enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife, visiting old Navy friends and relatives. He was a life member of the Paulsboro Sportsmen's Club and the Fleet Reserve Association. He is survived by his son, Phillip Terry and Ginny Williamson of Mullica Hill; his daughter in law, Addie Williamson of Pembroke, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Giana, Michelle, Christine and Phillip; his great grandchildren, Talia, Jeffery, Johnathan and LaNora; 4 great great grandchildren and his sisters, Anna Clark of Maple Shade and Gertrude Whitaker of Zephyrhills, Florida. Mr. Williamson was predeceased by his beloved wife of 69 years, Doris J. Williamson; his son, Robert Williamson Sr. and his grandson, Robert Williamson Jr. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 10, 2017 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Sunday evening from 7 to 9 PM and Monday morning after 9:30 AM until service time. AGBAYANI, Juan "Johnny" Cera, Jr. of Mystic, CT, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born Sept. 17, 1935, in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, the son of the late Juan S. and Leonora C. (Cera) Agbayani Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lolita Tamayo Agbayani of 53 years, of whom he married May 14, 1964 in Manila, Philippines. He was the loving "Papa" to three daughters, Lorna Agbayani of Mystic and her children, Michael Joyner, John Joyner, Caitlyn Joyner and Thomas Joyner; Maria "Lisa" DeSena of Noank and her children, Alicia DeSena, Melissa DeSena and Olivia DeSena; and Eleanora and son-in-law, Cody Floyd, of Stonington and their children, Melanie Floyd, Hunter Floyd and Morgan Floyd. He is also survived by a sister, Erlinda A. Belen of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brother, Leonardo C. Agbayani; and two sisters, Edita A. Consuegra and Purisima A. Saldua. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy serving 23 years in the submarine force before retiring as a chief petty officer 1982. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University. He was employed with the United States Post Office before finally retiring. He was a longtime member of the Free Masons and of The Philippine American Association of CT. His family and friends knew him as a kind, loving respectful man who would help anyone in any way he could. He enjoyed watching his sports on television, reading and cooking. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. His family will celebrate his life with a visitation hour from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl St., Mystic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick Church, 32 East Main St., Mystic. Burial with military honors will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, Route 27, Mystic. CLOUD Milledge Bonard, of Milledge, CT, died on June 29, 2017. Mort was born in Lovelady, Texas in August 1929, and then served in the Navy from '48–'52 on the submarine USS Sea Robin. Mort was an electrician with the IBEW, Local 208. He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Agnes Chad Cloud. His lifelong loves of boating, fishing and gardening are still shared by his devoted son, Jim. His wife, son, DIL Robin and granddaughters Kara and Abby (whom he adored and made him proud) will feel his absence daily. We cherish the wonderful memories of his sense of humor, his endless generosity, his love for his dogs, and his strong moral code. Please join us for an interment service at St. John Cemetery in Norwalk on Wednesday, July 12 at 11 a.m. The family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers, and in lieu of flowers, we suggest a donation to the North Shore Animal League to support Mort's love for dogs. DAHL, Leonard P., 80, passed away at Overlook Medical Center, Summit, N.J., after a brief illness. He was called home to join his wife, Priscilla, on July 3, 2017. Visitation is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Casey McCallum Rice Funeral Home. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Eltingville Lutheran Church on Genesee Avenue. Leonard was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Feb. 12, 1937, to Peder and Annie Dahl. Priscilla and Leonard married on Sept. 23, 1961. In 1963 they moved to Staten Island and started a family. Leonard was predeceased by his wife in March of 2004. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jane Friscia; grandson, Tyler Friscia; son, Kristian, his wife Jeanette, and granddaughter, Alyssa, as well as his sister-in-law, Cynthia Pinson, and many nieces and nephews. Leonard was a champion amateur golfer in the New York metropolitan area, having won numerous local and regional amateur tournaments as well as qualifying three times for the National Public Links. He was a member of Shore View Golf Club in Bay Ridge, LaTourette, South Shore and Esquire men's golf clubs in Staten Island. During the 80's he wrote a golf column for the Brooklyn Register. Leonard was a longtime member of Eltingville Lutheran Church, and the Sons of Norway Nansen Lodge. In 1966 he became the Master at Bay Ridge Minerva Masonic Lodge and was presented with his 50-year member certificate in 2009 at Beacon Light Lodge, Staten Island. He graduated Fort Hamilton High School before entering the Navy as a submariner. Upon discharge, Leonard worked as a rigger with his father Peder before embarking on a career in real estate. In 1980, he became Citibank's first in-house real estate appraiser, working in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. He retired from Citibank in 1995 to become a freelance appraiser. While raising his children, Leonard coached Little League and ice hockey, also officiating in these sports. In 1985, he and his daughter pioneered and introduced the Tottenville Hockey Club's Cheerleaders, who took the ice cheering at all of the club's games. He always took an active role in his children's, and grandchildren's lives, supporting them in music, sports and other endeavors. When not working or playing golf, Leonard loved boating, fishing and spending time with family. Family card games like poker, may-I and pinochle were favorites. Leonard will be sorely missed by many. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Ronald McDonald House. Published in Staten Island Advance on July 7, 2017
