HALL, Kelly, 78, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017. He was born April 9, 2017 1939 to John Lee Hall and Minnie Hall (Davis) in Dwale, Kentucky. He married Betty on June 4, 1979. Mr. Hall Devoted 23 years of his life to the Navy and retired as Master Chief. He worked for General Dynamics for 10 years before retiring to Mountain Home. Kelly was very active in the community and civic organizations such as the Elks Lodge, the VFW, volunteering many hours to the Hospice House and Serenity. Kelly was also a member of United States Submarine Veterans Twin Lakes Base and a member of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church. Kelly is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Hall, of Mountain Home, four sons, two daughters, two sisters, and a host of grand-children and great-grandchildren. Kelly is preceded in death by his parents, and nine brothers and sisters. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. HOPFENSPERGER, Joseph Allen, was born on September 2, 1927 and passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Joseph was a resident of Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Appleton High School. At age 17, he enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served in the submarine service aboard the USS Finback (SS 230). Visitation Wednesday, July 19th, 2017, 9:00am - 10:45am. Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E Fremont St, Appleton, WI. Service Wednesday, July 19th, 2017 Officiating Rev. Dennis Ryan, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, WI, 54915. Interment Holy Angels Cemetery Darboy, WI. A memorial service will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, July 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends may visit in the Sacred Heart Room at church on Wednesday from 9 am until 10:45 am. Inurnment will take place at Holy Angels Catholic Cemetery, Darboy.


SHOOK, Ronald H., was born on March 6, 1934 and passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. Ronald was a resident of Hermitage, Pennsylvania at the time of passing. Ronald was a 1952 graduate of Sharon High School. Retired after 20 years in the U.S. Navy, mostly in submarine duty [SO3(SS), USS Trutta (SS-421) 1957]. No calling hours. Burialat America's Cemetery, Hermitage.


WASLESKE, Alfred Paul, Jr., 92 died peacefully July 11, 2017 in Stevens Point, WI surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point with Pastor Scott Crandall presiding. A time of visitation will precede on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Alfred was born on March 25, 1925 to Edna (Lippert) and Alfred Wasleske. He married Betty (Seymour) on July 8, 1950. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served on a submarine during World War II [Quillback, Batfish, Bluegill, Kraken]. He was an engineer with Wisconsin Telephone Company for 38 years. Alfred was an active member for 62 years at Peace United Church of Christ and was part of the Wisconsin Telephone Pioneers. In his retirement, Alfred enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. He is survived by Betty, his devoted wife of 67 years; sons Paul (Deanne), Bruce (Brenda), Carl (Sue), Eric (Leanne); daughter Lori (Leonard); 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl (Rita), brother-in-law Ernest (Dolores), son-in-law Patrick, infant daughter Susan. There will be a private Internment at Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Peace United Church of Christ, Stevens Point. The family would like to give their special thanks to Dr. Kiamah, the nurses and staff on the fifth floor at St. Michael's Hospital for their compassion and care of Alfred during his final days.
