ERDMANN, Donald Eugene, was born on July 14, 1930, and passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017. Donald was a resident of Aurora, Colorado at the time of passing. Donald attended schools in Carson, IA, Sterling, and Atwood, CO where he completed the 10th grade. Donald was a member of the United State Navy from March 17, 1948 to March 19, 1957 where he served on the submarines USS Barbero (SS-317), USS Carp (SS-338), USS Perch (AP-313), USS Picuda (SS-382), USS Archerfish (SS-311), and USS Grenadier (SS-525). Visitation will be from 2:00 - 6:00 pm on Thursday, August 3rd at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 4th at 10:30 am at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Donald Erdman Memorial Fund in care of Chaney-Reager Funeral Home, PO Box 1046, Sterling, CO 80751.


KELLY, William F., 84, of Lower Makefield Township, PA, died on Monday, July 31, 2017, at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA. Born in Trenton, NJ, son of the late Joseph A. Kelly and Julia Spillane Kelly, Mr. Kelly was longtime area resident, recently moving to Lower Makefield. Bill attended St. Mary's Cathedral Grammar School and Trenton Catholic Boys' High School, graduating in 1950, and Trenton Junior College. He served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955 as a radioman aboard the submarine USS Atule. Upon returning to Trenton, Bill was employed by the NJ State Museum as a senior preparator. In 1965, Bill received awards for advertising excellence and started his own ad business in Trenton, representing local industries, including Wenczel Tile and Stangel Pottery. In 1968, Bill began a 20-year career as manager of graphics and corporate services with Hoechst Celanese Corporation at its New York City headquarters. He also served as president of their employees' credit union for 12 years before retiring in 1987. Bill was known for his love of humor, painting, music and singing. He extensively travelled to Ireland, which was the inspiration for his well-received landscape and seascape paintings. Bill was also a member and publicist for The Ewing Art Group. He participated in many productions by the Washington Crossing Theater in the Park in singing and acting roles, and assisted with set and stage design. Whenever he had the chance, Bill loved trout fishing, golf and a day at the races. Bill was a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in West Trenton, where he sang in the choir and taught CCD. Father of the late June Kelly and Timothy Patrick Kelly, he survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances Poliziani Kelly; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane K. and Michael Ryan of Lower Makefield, and Nancy A. and William Perella of Falls Township; a son, William Bryan Kelly of Las Vegas, NV; a sister, Esther Hossenlopp of Winfield, MO; three grandchildren, Michelle (Adam) Zensinger, Kyle Perella, and Christina Perella; one great-grandson, Leo Kelly Zensinger, along with many neighbors and lifelong friends. Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Friday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Ave. (River Road), Yardley, PA. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 137 West Upper Ferry Rd., West Trenton, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery, Yardley, PA. THOMANN, Jack Arthur, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 in Grand Ledge, MI. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona Thomann [11/7/2015], parents, Joseph and Hedwig Thomann; brothers Robert and Lee Thomann. Jack is survived by his sister Carol Minerva, his daughter, Janet Dayrell and husband, Mark; his sons, Robert Thomann and wife, Maureen and Todd Thomann and wife, Valerie; grandchildren, Tim, Peter and Erik Dayrell; Lauren, Andrea, Jake and Kara Thomann; great grandchildren, Stella, Lana, Julien and August and a host of other family and friends. Jack was born January 8, 1925 in Belleville, Illinois, where he spent his childhood in the greater Chicago area. He entered the Navy in 1942, where he served as a submariner, until the end of WWII, celebrating VJ day on the dock at Pearl Harbor. September 30, 1946 Jack married his true love, Dona Joslyn, they moved to Michigan, and raised a daughter and two sons, and spent seventy wonderful years together. Retired from Fisher Body at age 61, he never slowed down. He was an accomplished woodworker, gunsmith, gardener, and model maker. An avid outdoorsman, Jack always looked forward to the next hunting season and the special times that went with it. He also possessed a colorful vocabulary and wit that would bring a smile to friends, family and everyone he met. He will be greatly missed. A private family memorial will be held. KLEIN, William Martin, Jr., passed away on July 27, 2017, in Sarasota, FL. William was born in Brooklyn, NY to William M. Klein and Orme V. Webster on November 03, 1930. William was a dedicated US Navy submariner on the USS Atule. He served on the Nassau County Police Department as Lieutenant, before "retiring" to Nokomis, and working for the Venice Post Office for 14 years. Bill was known for his love of ice cream and making people laugh with his stories and antics. He is survived by his wife, Joan, of Sarasota, and daughter Christine Klein-Fain, of Chatham, VA. He is predeceased by his daughter Patricia Lyn. Graveside Services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery Friday, August 4th at 2:00 PM. COHENOUR, Boyd Wayne, 89, of Westerly, RI and Palm Harbor, FL passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 30, 2017, surrounded in love by his immediate family at his RI home. Born to Clyde and Myrle Cohenour on June 23, 1928, in Liberal, Kansas, Boyd was one of 15 children. The family were corn farmers who survived the great dust bowl of the 1930's, but lost the farm as a result and relocated to Burlington, IA. In 1946, at the age of 17, Boyd joined the US Navy and served his country for 20 years. He was a proud crew member of the USS Nautilus, the world's first nuclear powered submarine, and made the historic and heroic voyage under the polar ice cap in 1958. He and his crewmates were lauded for this epic accomplishment with a grand parade in New York City upon their safe return. His travels with the Navy took him all around the world. Boyd retired from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer in 1966. Boyd's second career was spent as a production supervisor for Chesebrough-Ponds in Clinton, CT. The jobs he loved and excelled at most, however, were husband and father. He married the love of his life, Gloria Ann Davino on May 31, 1953. Their marriage was to last for 64 years, during which they raised three children, Jocelyn, Jody and Jason. Always a supportive father, Boyd became a huge fan of St. Bernard's High School wrestling in the late 70's. Legendary for being the loudest fan in the gym, he was voted #1 fan of the team in 1981. In recent years, he became an ardent and vocal fan of the UCONN Women Huskies Basketball team. Boyd is survived by his wife, Gloria; daughters Jocelyn McElveen and Jody Cohenour; son Jason Cohenour and wife Dana; grandchildren Jack Cohenour, Courtney Hyland and her husband, Matt; sister Leota Kisler and brother Walden Cohenour. A memorial service will be held at the Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens in Palm Harbor, FL at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 12th.
