MILLS, Charles T., 84, of Linden, left to join his heavenly Father on Monday, October 30, 2017. Charlie was born on February 23, 1933 in Washington D.C., son of the late Ruth Anderson and Charles Mills. He is survived by his wife, Anette; six children; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Swain of Roanoke, VA; and a ton of friends. Charlie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Front Royal, which he dearly loved especially his Sunday School class, "Charlie's Angels". Charlie served in the US Navy as a submariner on the USS Redfish (SS-395). He retired from the Marriott Corp., but never really quit working until his health stopped him. Charlie's after retirement jobs included Sweet Time, clock repair, auctioneer, antiques, Second Chance and his long hours of working in the garden. He was always busy and happy. His epitaph "I lived, I died, and in between, I tried". A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 3 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Front Royal conducted by the Rev. Bruce Queen and Chaplain Susan O'Kelly. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and on Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Baptist Church. SHELTON, Robert G., 78, began his eternal celebration with the Lord on October 30, 2017 after passing away peacefully in his home with family at his side. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he made Tampa Bay his home in 1978 until 1986. He would later make his beloved Tampa Bay his final home in 2004. He was proud to serve his country in the United States Navy for his entire career. A veteran of the Cold War during the Vietnam Era, Robert served with the highly specialized Submarine Service and was instrumental as an Electronics Technician during the growing years of computer development in the US Navy. He ended his service on the USS Will Rogers. Following his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy, he raised his family in Tampa Bay and later in Kingman, AZ. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Darlene; sons, Eric Shelton and wife, Shanin and Adam Shelton and wife, Shane; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Robert is further survived by daughters, Tracy, Lisa; and Robert Shelton Jr., and Michael Shelton of California and Washington. Family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Wednesday, November 1 at the Blount & Curry, Oldsmar/West Hillsborough Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 2 at Incarnation Catholic Church, 8802 W Hillsborough Ave, Tampa followed by procession to Garden of Memories Cemetery. SPINNLER, Robert C., 82, of Wyckoff died unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2017. A US Navy Veteran Submariner, Mr. Spinnler was the devoted husband of Theresa (nee Chernalis) Spinnler for over 60 years. He was the loving father of eight boys and 3 girls and 19 grandchildren. He was the founder of Industrial Power Clean in Midland Park and a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Franklin Lakes. The Spinnler Family will receive their family and friends on Friday from 4-7 PM at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral Services Saturday at 9:30 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Franklin Lakes. Interment Christ The King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
