At random: Nautilus has long been a popular name for a submarine. Some of the more famous of these are Robert Fulton's NAUTILUS (1800), Jules Verne's fictional Nautilus, and the NAUTILUS of Sir Hubert Wilkins in which he attempted a voyage to the North Pole under the ice (1931). There have also been three U.S. submarines of that name, including the world's first nuclear powered submarine built by the Electric Boat Division.

Just got the new FireFox 57. Damn that thing is quick. Only thing is they don't support two of my AddOns. Colorful Tabs and Tabs on bottom. But I'm sure that will be fixed soon.

Got it the other day, might use it if others fail speed wise. Been using Cyberfox but it's soon being discontinued, now using Pale Moon as it will still support my Legacy Extensions
Firefox won't support these extensions I use often

I just checked my version of the Fox. I have 56.0.2 with zero upgrade to 57. Maybe they're starting on the left coast first then working back east...Implausible I know.

Did it update or did you have to download it?

Edit. It is a download.

"I just checked my version of the Fox. I have 56.0.2 with zero upgrade to 57." After posting this this morning, and answering some emails I went back into FireFox and it automatically downloaded 57...I haven't checked it out but I now have it. I will say the fonts(print) looks sharper at first glance...

With Linux you get notification there are upgrades available but you don't have to upload them. You have choices as to what your OS and other software are offering. No mandatory stuff. I was notified it was available. I logged into my upgrade server and and it was done on my command not theirs.

I see that the AddOn "ColorfulTabs" has been updated and restored.
Now we need to get "Tabs On Bottom" back in service. The top position is such a waste of movement and a stupid location.

I've been using/configuring the new Firefox the past few days, found replacements for most of the extensions I deem necessary and have come to the conclusion that "I'M BACK"

Tried the new version of Firefox for a few days, but found it locking up and freezing way too frequently for my tastes. Switched to Brave for a bit, but then went back to Firefox 52ESR, which is the browser I use for work... mebbe they'll work the kinks out in a bit, but until then, sticking with 52ESR

Interesting. I've had zero issues with FF57. A lot has to do with types of hardware installed I guess.
I'm running an old Dell Dimension C521 with an AMD64 chip and 4 gigs of RAM with the FF57 64 install. Thing is grease lighting fast.

Quite a bit of Firefox browser code discussion here  https://www.ghacks.net/2017/11/17/pale-moon-team-releases-first-version-of-basilisk-browser/
Seems different strokes applies everywhere.

Tried a complete uninstall of FF.... then reinstalled 57 and ... knock on wood... seems to be working fine now
