My High School classmate was killed in Viet Nam Dec. 1, 1966. I stopped by the veterans cemetery today to pay my respects. I brought him red carnations.

Quite a special friend you had there. I take it the plaque is the Medal Citation. Good that you remember. Rest in peace Soldier, you gave your all, and a Platoon was grateful for your actions protecting their rear.

Yes, the cemetery place the citation plaques on all the MOH people buried there. I have another Viet Nam classmate buried a few rows away that I stopped by to give me respects. He died about 6 months later.
