At random: Among the 'first' that Electric Boat Division has introduced into American submarines, have been the marine Diesel engine, the perfected use of the storage battery, the combination of battery and internal combustion engine, and the world's first adaptation of nuclear energy to propulsion in the USS NAUTILUS.

Does Don have a new policy of logging into the BBS? Each morning the BBS tells me to log in to send a post. I never has to do that in the past.
Anyone have any info on why?

I find that if I log in through another device that I have to re-log in when I go back to my desktop.

Otherwise, no. I stay logged in.

I'm not aware of it. I log in and stay logged in unless I reboot browser or computer.

I think there is a box to check in order to keep yourself logged in.  Every month or so you have to repeat the process, at least I have to.

Interesting. I logged in a couple years ago and when I'm done here, I just go wherever else I want to go. Next morning, I just hit my bookmark and come back, all logged in. ??

Paul, That's what usta happen with me. Log in for about a month then asked to re log in. Not a problem. I also check the box to keep me logged in and it does...except now????
I do a CClean every day or at least once every two days...I have the box not checked if I want to keep all my logins intact. I gotta see what happens tomorrow...

You may be resetting the 'flag' when CCleaner is run.  Personally I have not used that program in YEARS now.

I log in and logout every time as I do with Facebook also. I feel it's safer that way from being hacked.

I'm going with Ralph. He is the de facto leader of the MM/SS/DV's on this board. Only because Don lets him be. Plus, Ralph expends his excess energy dealing with an old decrepit EM Chief we all know and wish the most Merry of Christmas's this year.

In regards to ..."an old decrepit EM Chief"... I gotta call him and wish him a Merry Christmas.
I've already dealt with "Ol'Goat" for the time being.
Then I should probably call that "ugly slut" in Houston, (Stoops), and do the same....

Nothing's changed Joe.  No reason to ever "log out" as logging in only creates a "cookie" for the browser to read by the BBS app - it doesn't grant access to anything.

Since your successful login is stored in a cookie, any "cleaner" app you run that deletes cookies will essentially log you out (by deleting the cookie).  More than you ever wanted to know eh?
