We followed them into port only a few minutes later. Well, we went into port, they sat on the reef for three days!!! |

Thanks, actually the first photos I have ever seen of the event. We were probably already moored by the time these were taken. We were like 15 minutes behind them. |

In the third photo, according to the channel markers, it appears they are set off the channel a good bit. |

What we thought was so funny was we had had huge issues with our gyro the whole patrol. Had a First Class Electrician babysitting it. He even slept and ate in front of it. He had a huge ashtray that sort of smoldered next to him like an incense bowl. We always kidded him about "...praying to the great god Sperry". Had some other issues too that I can't remember any longer. They had everything working and missed it. We didn't and waved as we went by. |
