At random: ENS Sam Hunter, the first submarine casualty of WWII on Dec. 8, 1941. He was attached to Sea Dragon moored next to Sealion. He was killed by shrapnel from the first bomb hit on Sealion penetrating the conning tower of Sea Dragon. The second hit killed 4 men in Sealions Engineroom.

Subject: Tuesday Obit

WESTON, Bob, was born on October 28, 1942 and passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018. Bob was a resident of Kennesaw, Georgia at the time of passing. He was a retired United States Navy Veteran serving 22 years during the Vietnam War, he also retired from Lockheed Martin with 10 years of service as a Logistics Engineer and was a member of the Submarine Veterans Association. Interment will be held in Georgia National Cemetery at a later date. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements Visitation at the Clark Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on March 20, 2018
