DORFMAN, Sidney (n), EN1(SS), USN, Ret., 96, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018.Sid was born on February 10, 1922. He was a resident of Bay Park, California at the time of passing. He was a 20-year career Navy man who served in WWII on submarines. He qualified in submarines in USS Dolphin (SS-169) in 1943 and was EN1(SS) when the transferred to the Fleet Reserve in 1961. He also served aboard USS Mapiro (SS-376), USS Catfish (SS-339), USS Blenny (SS-324), USS Greenfish (SS-351), USS Caiman (SS-323), USS Rasher (SS-269), USS Charr (SS-328) and USS Bugara (SS-331). Funeral services are May 10, 2018 at Noon at St John the Evangelist, 1001 Encinitas Blvd, Encinitas, CA Private internment for family will be at Miramar National Cemetery. Interment with Military Honors May 11, 2018 9:30 am Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Drive San Diego, CA 92122.


SEABO, Joseph Frank, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Mr. Seabo was born on August 14, 1938. Mr. Seabo was a resident of Wagener, South Carolina at the time of passing. Mr. Seabo was raised in Paulsboro and graduated from Paulsboro High School Class of 1955. He was a veteran serving in the United States Navy aboard submarines. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday May 5, 2018 in the McBride - Foley Funeral Home, 228 W. Broad St., Paulsboro. SIMMONS, William F., Jr., 85, of Venice, FL went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018 Born in Dorchester MA on May 23, 1932, Son of the late William F. Simmons Sr. and Dorothy (MacNaught) Simmons. William attended Springfield High School. Bill achieved Eagle Scout from the the Boy Scouts of America. He honorably serviced in the US Navy during the Korean War as a member of Submarine Division from 1950-1954. Upon discharge, he obtained a BA at Charles F. Gaugh School of Business in Springfield, MA. He successfully pursued a distinguished career in the Insurance Industry owning and operating a Disability and Health Brokerage Agency for 36 years. During this time, Bill also received many achievement awards, including a Time Magazine article in May, 1972 and he was featured on the cover of the magazine, 1995 Distinguished Life Underwriter of The Year and he was also a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. He was President of Plaistow NH Board of Trade and for many years member of FBC church in Plaistow, NH. After his successful career, Bill retired in 1997 to FL. and in 2000 married Barbara making their home in Venice FL. He will be missed and lovingly remembered by his bride, Barbara J. Simmons, Daughter, Lorice (Simmons) Sadewicz and husband Benjamin of Plaistow, NH, Sons, Bradford Simmons and wife, Connie of Whiting, VT, and Douglas Simmons of Plaistow, NH, Barbara's daughter Brenda Edusei and husband, Enoch of Venice, FL, Eight grandchildren, Matthew, Phillip and Kelsey Sadewicz, Tyler and Kristin Simmons, Pearl, Milan and Pamela Edusei, three great grandchildren, AvaLynn, Ramona and Enoch, several close friends and his beloved church family. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sarasota Baptist Church, 7091 Proctor Road, Sarasota, FL May 21, 2018 at 11 AM. Luncheon will be served followed by Internment at the National Cemetary Sarasota FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sarasota Baptist Church, 7091 Proctor Road, Sarasota, FL 34241.
