This series is great fun and I recommend it highly.
One of my favorites, which I've watched a number of time.
Sean Bean does a great job of it. |

You have intrigued me. I own two Sharps Rifles, both modern reproductions. One a loose powder Breech Loader, the other a 45-90 with Leatherwood Scope half as long as the barrel. Either gun is accurate to 300 yards in my hands, probably capable of a lot better. So it is a BBC series about a rifle platoon in Napoleonic war. I am not sure if Sharps rifles were around then. www.bbcamerica.com/.../10/bernard-cornwells-sharpe-series-a-binge-watching-guide when we return from Birmingham and the wife's Doc Appointment I shall endeaver to watch. |

Just a couple of clips about the legendary Sharps rifle that captured the imagination of so many rifle enthusiasts. I was surprised to learn that this rifle is still produced by the Shiloh Sharps company which is quite some legacy. If you haven't already seen it, the "Quigley Down Under"movie (first clip) is a recommended film to watch or to maybe even watch again. The same goes for the Sharps Rifles series that Bob has mentioned.

Quigley Down Under and Sharp's Rifles are both worthy of more than one viewing.
Good stuff, both.
Cheers to all.
Especially to you, Pedro. |
