Interesting photo showing the very last moments of the USS A-4 before she sinks forever.
She was sunk on or about (confusing dates) December 18, 1921 just outside Manila Bay, Philippines.

I am confused and not a little disturbed by the last paragraph of the bit after the sinking photo of A-4. Perhaps you should remove the entire 'caption'. I might suggest you review the logs personally and correct the sinking dates of the A and B class boats. I will tell you right now that the logs of the sinking vessels (all destroyers stationed in Manila Bay) do not agree with each other. Perhaps you might do a better job. Sorry that I confused "we".

Say, I was wondering who KC was directing that at, you know about the signing someone else's books? Could one of the intrepid Coconut Dancers be signing copies of Warshot's Book Torpedo-man? Just curious, but the only thought that came into my mind.

Due to input received and concerns expressed I had to concur that the post was not as throughly researched and presented as hoped.
This has brought a reevaluation of what was thought known about the photo.
It is now fairly certain that this was not the A-4 at all and the image has been pulled.
I want to thank everyone for visiting PigBoats.COM. We try and present the best and as much factual information as possible. If it is believed wrong we will correct it.
Back to the "drawings boards" as the saying goes.

On the post KC had, the guy talks about being misidentified as an author, and signing the other author's book with the other guys name. I take it you didn't sit through the little video ?
