Well here she in the USA

Not as big as her American sisters but otherwise impressive enough. Why squadrons of F-35's have not yet arrived is unclear but it suggests we are putting the cart before the horse. I have a few reservations such as no cats and traps being fitted which does not allow fixed-wing capability but confines us to only VTOL capability. Apparently, the cats and traps can be retrogradely fitted but why not now, thus giving us more options? If less effort had been afforded to the 5-star accommodations for the relatively small crew they may have had the money for that vital facility. These are warship's not floating hotels. But then what would I know about what goes on in the echelons of power? Here is the First Sea Lords slant on the situation in a pretty clear and detailed interview held in the USA.
