At random: There are more airplanes at the bottom of the ocean than there are submarines in the sky; therefore I chose submarines over aviation.

I’ve lost his phone number and he hasn’t responded to email. Sure hope Ralph Luther hasn’t run him off. ??
If you’re reading this I hope you’re well, Chief

Last time I saw John was at John Bakers funeral. He sent me a copy of the movie Submarine D1.
I'll give him a call in a couple of days. Lots on my plate right now prepping for the Seattle Base Christmas Luncheon tomorrow.
Who knows, maybe he'll show up before then.

Doc:
I sent you an e-mail of John Clear's phone numbers.

They may have changed over the years, but that's what I got.

No Don I haven't run off that worn out old pharte of a CPO. Seems like I saw where he posted not long ago here or on FB. He is kinda, sorta rough on the eyes so it's hard to remember exactly where.

He'll show up kinda like an old blown recapped tire. Seriously, I do enjoy hearing from him. He's one of the old DB sailors that can hack it. With all the rain out that way, he may have decided to take a bath. Cheers and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and all. Yup, even to ole Clear when he finally decides to show up.

John is doing OK.  He was here with me this past weekend.  Still as cantankerous as ever but he is back home now.  He doesn't get up on the computer very much lately.  Thanks for checking on him Doc.

Not that much rain the last few days. Been clear and sunny though cold. Get that when the wind is from the north. Canada sends her best from the Fraser River Valley. Burrrrrrrr!!!!

I tried calling the cell phone number Jon Krup sent me but looks like he changed it. Thanks for the update Dan. Tell the olde coot I was asking about him. I think he’s due for his rabies shot. ??

All this about a mostly worn out Electrician. You would think he were from some valuable rating by this treatment. Heck, it isn't like he was a MM/SS/DV or something.

YA CAN"T GET TO ME, WALT!!!!!!!

Soon though, very soon that worn out old pharte of a West Coast CPO will realize he can run but can't hide from this superb MM1(SS/DV) old sailor.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL Y'ALL !!!

Usually, commenting on Nuke EM's, I can flush him out. Along with a few others.

Ric,

I have read your 2nd post several times and cannot figure out WTF it has to do with the topic of this discussion.  Did you forget to take your meds?

Well, thanks to Doc's inquiry an old (B.D. today) and very dangerous scourge has been re-released upon this BBS.  Mr. Gentry might regret providing the new pass word et al but that is yet to be determined.  First, addressing a few of this thread's previous posts: (1)  Ric, I'm so sorry to hear that you are so busy that "you'll try to call me in a couple of days".  Being elected to Base Commander requires certain organizational skills, one of which is multi-tasking (good luck on that one!).  Also Ric, be careful when calling either of my phone numbers, they both have been changed to avoid robo calls and depressing ones. Try getting Miss Lumpy Bumps to handle that one.     (2) Ralph, what can I say? (actually with you that's enough).  Since I am on both Fentanyl and Oxycodone for pain control, I'll have to check the labels and see if your name is listed...  Yes friends and shipmates - he's baaack (and BTW) MERRY CHRISTMAS and a prosperous New Year from the ugly and now a year older, curmudgeon living on the Olympic Peninsula, Washington State (God's Country friends!).  (((Thanks to my best bud of the last 59 years, Dantini for flagging me on all this - and of course my much smaller and younger bud, Doc!)))

John Clear EMC(SS) USN Ret.

a.k.a. "crystal" which no longer confuses Dantini

GREAT CEASER'S GHOST!!! The worn out old pharte of a CPO has finally surfaced. Great to see you're still above ground old-timer!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to ya and a Great New Year
