I just got back from a colonoscopy. My head is NOT up my ass, as many of you believe. And I have pictures to prove it!
3 small polyps, all removed.

Thank goodness colonoscopies happen only (usually) every ten years. And it's always good to get a favorable report. Not to get into a I can do you one better battle, I must go the other route shortly.I will be undergoing a "endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatogram (ERCP). Sounds like some nuke tea kettle exam that's worse than an ORSE. Thank goodness I'll be out like a light. |

Great news on all counts. Excuse my ignorance Jon, but the three small polyps were removed at a separate visit?

After my first one about 15 years ago, the Doctor came out and told my wife ( I was still zonked) that everything was fine. She tweaked his message by saying that I was a perfect a**hole! (But Ya'll already knew that).

I feel sorry for proctologists. Every day, when they get up, they know with certainty that all day long they will have to deal with one a**hole after another. |

Gil: the polyp removal is done during the procedure. See a polyp, remove a polyp. I had a colonoscopy 5 years ago and they found 5 polyps, all removed. And I didn't feel a thing. |

I asked them to keep me somewhat awake for my first one - it was fascinating to watch (including a polyp removal). Had 3 since and enjoyed the nap! |
