Subject: Sundays Song's # 153

This week I’m taking a look at a British singer, Tony Christie, who had huge hits in the UK and Europe in the early 1970s. I don’t believe he had more than limited success in the USA so you may not know about him. Tony had a powerful voice and a great stage presence as demonstrated in clips number 1 & 2 that were recorded just as effectively in later years. Towards the end of his career, he lent his talents to singing and raising funds for military personnel seriously injured in Afghanistan as per the clip No 3.
