STENZHORN, Dale H., of Penfield, died suddenly on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the age of 77. Survived by longtime companion, Rose Ann Milne; brother, Harry (Catherine) Stenzhorn; son, Scott (Sarah) Stenzhorn; stepdaughters, Ronda Milne and Brenda (Terrence) Tryon; step-grandchildren, Zachary (Amanda) Milne and Nicole Tryon; step-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Hailey Milne; many loving family members and close friends. Dale served in the US Navy Submarine Division for 4 years and retired from Xerox Corporation after 34 years, in 2001. Friends may call at Jennings, Nulton & Mattle Funeral Home, 1704 Penfield Rd., Saturday 2-4PM, where a Service will follow at 4PM. Those wishing may direct donations to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association in Dale's memory. Published in Rochester Democrat And Chronicle Sep. 10, 2020.


ALLEN, Frederick L, 92 died peacefully Sunday September 6, 2020 at the Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London. He was born in New London, the son of Guy and Marion Allen, on June 15, 1928, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a BA and from Connecticut College with a MA in psychology. He worked for General Dynamics in Groton and San Diego for 29 years. Mr. Allen was in the Navy from 1945-1949 and 1951-1953 and served as a submariner. He was in the Army ROTC from 1953-1954. He was a member of the Groton Town Council from 1957-1963 and was an elected member of the Groton Board of Education from 1967-1977, also a proud member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Branch # 020 in Groton. He was predeceased by his wife Sally in 1984 and his sisters Deloris Allen and Marcia Leslie. He is survived by his daughters, Christine Thompson (Philip)of Mystic, Victoria Allen of Groton, Suzanne Allen of Shelton WA. and his loving companion, Nancy De Marinis of Groton. Burial will be private. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Fleet Reserve Assoc, #20. 242 Thames St., Groton, CT 06340
