Subject: Pulling a Canadian 'O' Boat Home

Moving a Canadian ‘O’ boat from Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the 700-mile journey to her new home where she will become a submarine monument for the Canadian Navy. Due to budgetary restrictions, the only option was to tow her as she had no propulsion available as everything had been stripped out and cannibalised years ago by the Halifax scrap yard. Okay as a documentary it was somewhat dramatised with some musical background added but movie-making was not their strong point. Their forte was excellent seamanship and the technical engineering skills to get her safely ashore under tight tidal parameters at her destination
