Subject: The Greatest Raid of All

This is another Timeline series presented by Jeremy Clarkson on the greatest Commando raid of WWII. This was the raid on the St. Nazaire dry-dock in France, capable of being the only such facility in Europe to service the German battleship “Tirpitz” that had to be demolished at any cost. This would involve both naval and RM Commando units entering a heavily defended harbour and blowing up the dry dock gates and other pumping stations. This action involved a high number of British lives and ultimately many German ones but it demonstrated the mettle of Churchill’s philosophy on the use of Commando forces against the Nazi regime that would prove successful.
