WERNER, Jeffrey Michael, 41, of Miami, FL, died tragically on April 17, 2021. Jeff was born August 22, 1979 and raised in Miami, where he took pride in his first job at Hot Wheels Skating Rink. Upon graduation from Killian High School, Jeff joined the US Navy and proudly served as a Submariner on the USS Maryland (SSBN-738) and the USS Hawaii (SSN-776). After 10 years of service, a few late-night adventures off-base, and a successful mission to steal the XO's door: he was honorably discharged and began his career in the Oil Industry as a Subsea Engineer on Offshore Drilling Rigs. Having grown up with a father in Aviation, Jeff loved the opportunity to travel and the added benefit of "the best office view." He enjoyed working internationally but also wouldn't miss a chance to work domestically and grab a beignet while passing through New Orleans. When Jeff wasn't jetting off around the world, he spent every moment with the love of his life, Janelle. They were inseparable since they met when he stopped to play with her dog and, as a New Englander, she immediately noticed his Red Sox hat. Together they enjoyed vacationing in the Keys, exploring local restaurants, and their everything but ordinary days cooking at home. He was kind-hearted, loved to joke around, and brought joy to everyone around him. Jeff's infectious smile, sense of humor, and strong devotion to his wife will be missed beyond any words that would do him proper justice. Jeff is survived by his wife, Janelle Langan, and his beloved Corgi dogs: Harmony, Dewi, and Oreo. Arrangements are being handled by Janelle. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM-12:00PM on May 13, 2021 at Van Orsdel, 3333 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami. His burial will be private. Published in the Miami Herald on May 11, 2021.
