Subject: Spring

Got up this morning, looked out my window, and the rain had passed. The sky is blue. That is to say, it is as blue as it gets this time of year East of the lake. There is still a thin, shear layer of clouds, very high in the sky, like the swirl of cigarette smoke, but motionless. Still, it makes for a rather bright, clean morning, and standing with my face to the sun, eyes closed, I can feel the warmth and promise of spring.
