The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

ELLIOT .. .. .. Raymond P. Elliott, age 95, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. Born in Camden, New Jersey in 1930, Ray attended St. Paul Elementary School and graduated from Wilmington High School. Soon after, he began a long and dedicated career with the Diamond State Telephone Company, where he worked from 1948 until his retirement in 1986. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the submarine USS Sirago and was honorably discharged in March 1954. In August 1954, Ray married Dolores Gorecki, with whom he shared many years before their divorce in 1981. He also worked summer evenings as a cashier at Brandywine Raceway and, after retirement, enjoyed driving a shuttle van at the Philadelphia Airport.
A man of many interests, Ray loved nothing more than being on the water and could often be found motor boating, water skiing, or scuba diving. He knew the rivers and tributaries of the upper Chesapeake Bay area like the back of his hand. Ray also enjoyed bowling, dancing, downhill skiing, and traveling — activities that reflected his zest for life and adventurous spirit.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine (Stein) Elliott, his father, Phillip Elliott, and his sister, Mildred (O’Connor). He is survived by his three children: Raymond (Arlene) Elliott of Ann Arbor, MI, Robert (Mary’an) Elliott of Newtown Square, PA, and Dianne Elliott of Wilmington, DE. He also leaves behind five grandchildren: Lauren (Drew) Lakebrink, Christine (Patrick) Pastore, Austin (Sienna) Elliott, Erika (Andrew) Lefeber, and Benjamin Elliott, as well as four great-grandchildren. All will lovingly remember him for his humor, kindness, and love of family.

LEE .. .. .. In Loving Memory of R. Michael Lee, March 3, 1953 – October 24, 2025.
It was a beautiful, sunny morning on Friday, October 24, 2025, when Richard Michael Lee took his final breath and peacefully left this world with his loving wife, Moniquia, by his side.
Michael was blessed to reunite with his best friend, hero, and father Richard (Dick) Lee, his youngest son Gerald, and many other cherished family members and dear friends who passed before him. Born on March 3, 1953, in Reno, Nevada, Michael lived life to its absolute fullest for 72 remarkable years. Anyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him knew without question that he enjoyed life every step of the way.
He is survived by his devoted wife Moniquia Stone Lee, his eldest son Dustin Michael Lee, his loyal dogs, countless great friends, thousands of acquaintances, and a legion of faithful Lee Brothers customers who became extended family over the years.
Michael’s journey began and ended in Reno, Nevada, where he was a lifelong resident—except for his proud period of service in the United States Navy. He attended Manogue High School and Wooster High School, from which he graduated. His passion for building and driving fast cars fueled both his curiosity and his early departure into the Navy.
Following in the footsteps of generations of Lee and Butler family servicemen who served in the Navy, Marine Corps, and Army, Michael continued his family’s proud military tradition. During his service, he was assigned to the first series of three U.S. nuclear-powered submarines. He graduated from U.S. Navy Submarine School, where his mechanical skill and natural aptitude for hands-on learning set him apart. He went on to earn his Submarine Dolphins Certification, testing out months ahead of schedule—a testament to his determination and intellect.
While serving aboard on the submarine, Michael first managed supply operations before becoming the vessel’s lead chef, where he perfected the culinary skills first taught by his loving mother, Claudyne Lee. He later shared that same joy of cooking with his wife, Moniquia, creating meals that became legendary among family and friends.
After his military service, Michael dedicated his life to honoring his father’s entrepreneurial legacy. Taking the helm of Lee Brothers Leasing, he preserved and expanded the family business through relentless hard work, dedication, and leadership. With his dedicated and handpicked team to include Mike Cassingham, and Chris Aramini still to date— together they grew the company to more than four times its original size.
In a world where most family businesses struggle to survive past the first generation, Michael and his team achieved what few can. His unwavering devotion to his father’s vision, paired with his “no excuses” attitude and commitment to excellence, ensured that Lee Brothers not only endured but thrived.
Beyond his business success, Michael was deeply committed to his community—a trait inherited from his father’s example of service and leadership. He was actively involved with the Reno Prospectors Club, Reno Rotary Club, Reno Rodeo Foundation, and served at the national level with Ducks Unlimited.
Among his many community contributions, he led the fundraising effort to install the first outdoor lights for the Galena High School football program. He was also a generous supporter of the University of Nevada, Reno, and countless other local and national causes—too many to list, but all profoundly impacted by his generosity.
Michael also honored his family’s love of the outdoors, continuing the Lee family’s hunting legacy at Canvasback Gun Club in Stillwater, Nevada—where he and his father helped shape the club’s fieldcraft tradition, now proudly carried on by his son and Dick Lee’s grandson, Dustin Lee.
Michael was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was generous beyond measure, loyal to a fault, and a man of boundless energy with a heart that loved deeply.
He truly lived life to the fullest—and, as he often said, he “left it all on the field.” The greatest way to honor his memory is to do the same: live boldly, love deeply, dream without limit, and cherish each day as if there were no tomorrow.
