The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

HALL .. .. .. Captain David P. Hall, 84, of Bath, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 13, 1942, in Seattle, Washington, to Eric and Dorothy Hall, a dedicated husband and father to his loving family. David proudly served his country as an officer in the United States Navy. In 1976 he surfaced in a submarine at the North Pole. After 22 years of service, he retired as a Captain. He later founded and led C.L. Hall and Associates, a project management company.
David was a man of strong character, known for his leadership, integrity, dry sense of humor, strong work ethic, dedication to family, and philanthropy. He enjoyed woodworking, skiing, hiking, photography, traveling, and watching a good movie. A lifelong sailor, he especially cherished time on the water with his family and seafaring friends. He had a lifelong Lutheran faith.
He also founded the Chady and David Hall Foundation, which focused on people helping animals and animals helping people.
He is survived by his wife, Chady L. Hall; son David A. (Azelia Y.) Hall and daughter Barbara L. (Cory J.) Fidler; brothers Hamilton (Susan) and Harold (Terri) Hall; grandchildren Zackary Hall and Karlie Fidler and many other loving family members and friends.

HULSE .. .. .. Donald Hugh Hulse, Age 87, passed away on September 24, 2025 at his home in Pocatello. He was born in Kingman, Arizona to Robert and Evalyn Hulse on January 20, 1938.
Don began his career in the United States Navy in 1955, ultimately climbing to Senior Chief Petty Office (SCPO) prior to his retirement in 1975. His early days in the Navy were spent in Sub School at the Naval Arco Proving grounds in Arco, ID.
While in Sub School, unbeknownst to Don and Kay, a fateful blind date would turn into 65 years of marital bliss, the creation of a beautiful family, and an amazing life together. After being introduced by a friend, they both became smitten with one another and soon began dating. On their second date, Don would be introduced to Kay’s mother and father. Don got wind that her father’s chainsaw wasn’t working properly and before long, the chainsaw was in pieces on the floor of the well-house, much to her father’s chagrin. After seeing his equipment in pieces on the floor, her father lamented, “Well, it looks like I’m going to have buy a new chainsaw.” But before long, the familiar sound of his saw came ringing from the back yard. A testament to Don’s mechanical abilities, the chainsaw was fixed. Don had won over Kay’s father. Don and Kay married soon after in Pocatello, ID.
His love of the submarines, the U.S. Navy, and tinkering coalesced when Don made a miniature submarine as a living advertisement to raise awareness for the USS Idaho Commissioning Committee. Don and his submarine were regular participants in local events and parades.
In addition to tinkering, woodworking, and, in general, being very handy, Don also enjoyed spending time outdoors in the garden where he was fond of growing tomatoes, corn potatoes and other vegetables.
He also enjoyed sailing, and a friend of the family happened to own a sailboat. He allowed the boat to be parked on the property all year and for many years until the friend moved away to Washington. Many weekends were spent working on the boat or sailing at American Falls Reservoir.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Kay Hulse; his devoted children Patrick Hulse and Karen Hulse; and his granddaughter Nicole and grandson Sean.

URICE .. .. .. Ronel Morgan Urice, 85, of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born on September 25, 1940, the son of the late Virgil Ford Urice and Orella Mae Millner Hicks Urice.
Ronel was a devoted family man and respected Navy Captain, who lived a life marked by service, dedication, and a deep commitment to his loved ones and his country.
Captain Urice served with honor in the United States Navy, where he achieved the distinguished rank of Navy Captain. His leadership was most notably demonstrated through his command of the U.S.S. Stonewall Jackson, a submarine on which he faithfully served. Following his retirement from the Navy, Ronel continued to dedicate himself to service, becoming an Elder at Immanuel Bible Church in Virginia, where he was a guiding presence in the spiritual lives of many.
Throughout his life, Ronel displayed a passion for sports. He was an accomplished football player during his high school years and continued playing while serving in the Navy. His involvement with the ROTC reflects his early commitment to military service and leadership. Additionally, he enjoyed playing tennis, a sport that complemented his active lifestyle and competitive spirit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Urice.
He is survived by his loving wife Brenda Kay Bitner Urice; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Urice of Lee, New Hampsire, Kelly Urice of New Milford, Connecticut, Romy (Fred) Janson of New Milford, Connecticut, Angie (Keith) Fielding of Los Angeles, California; son, Garth Urice of Newnan, Georgia; grand-child, Archana Urice; nephew, Chad Urice.
