The above link goes to the USSVI (United States Submarine Veterans, Inc.) Facebook page where their members who have gone on “Eternal Patrol” are noted.

I’ll keep my work here going, trying to get others who were not USSVI members. You’re encouraged to look there as well as here! Obviously, there’ll be some I miss and some I duplicate.

FARLEY .. .. .. It is with great sadness that the family of Donald “Bones” William Farley announces his passing on February 8, 2014 at the age of 76 years. A native of Santa Rosa, Don attended Santa Rosa High school lettering in three sports. He also attended Santa Rosa J.C. where he continued his passion for football. He en-listed in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service, traveling much of the world on the USS Blueback. His continued com-mitment to the community was apparent through his years serving with YMI and the Druids. A sports enthusiast who was a 49er faithful and Warriors fan, he loved to golf at the Bennett Valley Golf Course, where he could be found marshalling weekly. Don en-joyed gardening and was especially proud of his green beans and tomatoes. He loved to fish for salmon, barbecue in the back yard, and play cards during warm summer evenings. Don was a loving man who was always smiling and would give you the shirt off his back. His leagues of longtime friends and large extended family are a testament to his character. Don is survived by his loving wife Deanne of twenty-five years and his step daughters: Kellye, Teri (Ian), and Tracy (Carl), as well as his children from his first marriage to Michele Farley, Angela Farley (Alain) and Aaron Farley.
